The South Beach Wine & Food Festival is an annual event that turns the city of Miami into a culinary heaven every February. This year's events will be taking place from Wednesday, February 20 until Sunday, February 24. So I'm here to tell you about my favorite events and some awesome new ones that will be taking place this year!
When: Friday, February 22 at 11 PM
Where: Casa Tua Cucina
One of the hottest new events happening this year is Mangia! A Taste of Italy After Dark hosted by celebrity chef Marc Murphy. This event will take you on a culinary journey through Italy, sampling from Casa Tua's 10 spectacular dining stations. You'll get a taste of fresh pasta, pizza, meats, and special wines and spirits curated for the event. You don't want to miss out on this delicious food and being in the presence of an awesome TV chef who has showcased his talents on the Food Network.

When: Friday, February 22 from 8 pm - 10:30 pm
Where: National Hotel
If Italian food isn't your jam you can check out another new event called Taste Jamaica. This event will showcase Cindy Hutson and her partner Delius Shirley who specialize in Caribbean cuisine. These are the creative minds behind Ortanique and Zest and they will be serving up some tasty Jamaican flavors at the beautiful oceanfront National Hotel. Tropical libations will be served as you jam to the sounds of DJ Irie. Who knows, maybe this will inspire your friends to finally take that Caribbean trip you've been talking about.

If you've actually kept reading these are always my favorite events from SOBEWFF...
When: Friday, February 22 from 7:30 pm - 10:30 pm
This is one of the most talked about SOBEWFF events. Think a giant tent with a party dedicated to burgers. You get to try burgers from Miami's best restaurants and at the end the judges choose the winner! There are drinks and music included as well. There's usually a celebrity host and this year it will be hosted by David Burtka & Neil Patrick Harris! This is definitely one that you (and I) don't want to miss.

When: Saturday, February 23rd or Sunday, February 24th from 12 pm - 5 pm
Where: 13th Street & Ocean Drive
Goya Food's Grand Tasting village is the king of all SOBEWFF events. Taking place on the sand over two days you get to sample offerings from more than 50 restaurants! This event pretty much speaks for itself, who doesn't want to spend a day oceanside eating amazing food samples. Drinks and music are also provided, so you can count me in!

When: Sunday, February 24 from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Where: The Biltmore Hotel
Last but most certainly not least is the Goya Foods' Swine & Wine. This was my favorite event last year by far. The food was fantastic, but what can I say I love pork! This pork centered event has some of Miami's best chefs cooking up their favorite pork-based dishes. Some of my favorites from last year were from chef Jorgie Ramos of Barley and Chef Adrianne Calvo of Chef Adrianne's and Cracked. The venue is beautiful, the food is phenomenal, and they have an assortment of drinks to enjoy while you eat.
